As a big question mark hangs over American Idol, we start the looong goodbye to Simon Cowell

He as been the star of the show since it hit the airwaves  8 years ago. He has been hated and loved by viewers and contestants alike. But now he must move on to new things, well kinda. Not even a reported offer from Fox of $140 million could have kept Simon at American Idol. All great things must come to an end and this may be the beginning of the end for American Idol.
