Performance: Hyundai engineers partnered with famous German transmission maker ZF to choose a high-performance transmission specifically for Equus. Precise gear ratios and lightweight components make the ZF 6-speed highly responsive and a perfect complement to the Tau
® 385 hp V8. Whether in automatic or SHIFTRONIC
® manual shift mode, it also has the capability to achieve torque converter lock-up in top gear which dramatically closes the fuel-efficiency gap between automatic and manual transmissions.

Interior: Leather everything, The 12-way adjustable driver seat is heated, cooled, and has a massage—something you won’t find on the Lexus LS 460. Seat height, rake, seatback recline, and seat cushion adjustments are easily controlled from the upper door panel that memorizes the preferences of multiple drivers. Equus also employs a unique thermoelectric technology that controls the heating, cooling and humidity of the seat surface for optimal comfort, while most competitors (the few that offer it) simply have their systems connected to their less efficient standard air conditioning systems.

Exterior: The Equus engineers had the enviable task of setting a new design standard for an entire line of vehicles. Starting with the distinctive front grille, deliberate lines continue from the hood through the body to show off the staggered-width 19-inch chrome wheels. LED turn signals with HID Xenon headlights, sculpted front fog lights, and the distinctive air intake further set the Equus apart in a field of conventional rivals.
