They say that Dynasties, Empires never last forever. They are either brought down by enemies, incompetence, infighting or by the hands of the person or persons who sits atop of the dynasty/empire. The Greek empire fell because as they grew they stretched themselves thin by taking over too much at one time. Some predict the U.S. will fall because of the same reason, though most believe that won't happen. Political Dynasties also come and go. Barack Obama brought down the Clinton dynasty stopping it in its tracks, henceforth signalling the start of the Obama political dynasty. however that will end once he leaves office being that he is the only one in his family with the Obama last name holding political office. There are also local political dynasties that have come and gone. The most recent one on its way out, is the Brooklyn based Boyland political dynasty which has been stained with charges of corruption by the hands of its heir, assemblyman William Boyland Jr.
Mr. Boyland’s political career was built on top of his family legacy. His district offices are located on Thomas S. Boyland Street, which is located a stone’s throw away from the Thomas S. Boyland Homes, the Thomas S. Boyland Democratic Club and P.S. 73, the Thomas S. Boyland School. A Thomas S. Boyland street sign hangs above the doorway to the assemblyman’s offices in Albany.[Politicker]
