12 Ridiculous Claims Why the Jay Z Brand is "in Trouble"
Jay Z is one of Hip Hop's most successful entrepreneurs. He's built a fortune currently estimated at about $500 million. Some of that came from platinum albums, but most of it came from his business ventures outside of music. He's done deals with Samsung, Duracell, Reebok, Live Nation and yes he even owned a tiny piece of the Brooklyn Nets. However, according to a recent research on celebrities and brands they shill for, (their own or others), Jay Z's word isn't trusted by the very people he targets when pushing products because he doesn't come over authentic enough? We are not sure the background of the individuals who were part of the sampling in the research but we feel there are multiple holes. Here are some of the reasons why the Jay Z brand may be having trouble keeping "Millennials" in his corner.
1. His mega deal with Samsung was the second most hated deal behind Justin Bieber's OPI deal
2. His purchase influence on consumers has fallen behind that of Hillary Clinton and Tom Brady?
3. He lacks authenticity
4. Consumers don't know what Jay Z stands for anymore
5. He tested 70% below Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Lawrence on trustworthiness and honesty
6. He lacks integrity because he's collaborated with others artists in other genres of music
7. He is too focused on making money anyway he can
8. He mentions too many products in his music
9. Magna Carta Holy Grail was an uncreative endeavor motivated by commerce
10. He may not write his own songs?
11. He is just the face of a money making empire
12. He isn't loyal
