Inside New York City's Most Expensive Home

The Residence at River House in New York City, is not a home for a paltry millionaire. This $130 million palace in the sky is for individuals sitting comfortably in the billionaire's club. It is currently the most expensive home for sale in New York City beating out other billionaire status properties like the $125 million Pierre penthouse and the $115 million Bloomberg duplex.

Designed by the classical American architect, William Bottomley, River House epitomized the height of luxurious living when the building opened in 1931. The Residence overlooking the East River will reflect the same qualities updated for 21st century living. Offering a residence at the base of a significant building is very much in keeping with other stately New York cooperative buildings such as the maisonettes at the base of the Carpenter and Candela-designed cooperatives of Fifth and Park Avenues.
