We want to believe that Chris Brown understands that what he did and what we all saw as the result of what he did to a female is no simple matter. This isn't something people see and just forget about it especially when there was disturbing imagery attached. Brown seems to think that going on a couple of talk shows and recording videos to say how sorry he is, will make everything better and he can go on with his career. But the truth is, his reputation and even his image are shattered and nothing he or any of his handlers say and/or do can patch it up. He will forever be known as a woman beater. Jive Records should have advised their artist to take a break for at least 2 years, stay out of the limelight etc. But no. Months after serving his slap on the wrist sentence of community service, Brown was back in action, touring and releasing new music which was a total mistake. It just shows how naive and ignorant he is to a serious situation. Chris Brown has many supporters who side with him in the matter but that's just because he didn't beat up their sister, or cousin.
However the good thing about his blind supporters is that they are outnumbered by people who believe he got away with putting his hand on a woman. Now Mr. Brown is feeling the backlash and he is not happy about it. He claims the retail industry is blackballing him and not stocking his CD on their shelves. Well, it's probably true, because retailers have to be very careful about what, and who they support because they don't want thousands of protesters in front of their stores. it could hurt business for them. Jive Records knew this as well, but they just wanted to get another record out hoping to make some more money. They probably even thought that they would be able to capitalize off of the incident, as sick as that may sound. Brown's recent rant about the industry via his now deleted twitter account, is proof that the young singer is clueless and oblivious to what happened and what is happening. His career as he knew it, will never be the same again. Sure other entertainers have gotten into trouble. Some for guns, drugs, fights, young boys, but those careers with the exception of the young boys incidents have stayed relatively steady and some have even seen more success. The thing that did Brown in, is not the fact that he beat up his girlfriend, but the fact that America saw a photo which clearly displayed the brutal results of his actions. So that image is now carved into their brains and every time they see or hear of another woman beaten, they will remember what Chris Brown did. To Chris Brown we say, start slowly rolling to your plan B.
