Interscope Records hands shock rocker Marilyn Manson his walking papers

In the current economy major labels don't have the time money or patience to invest in artist who aren't delivering respectable first week sales. Interscope Records, part of the mega music mother ship that is Universal Music Group, has parted ways with rocker Marilyn Manson after his latest effort came in at just 121k, a big no no for major labels. However Manson seems to be happy about the split saying in a recent interview that Interscope was holding him back from making the kind of music he really wanted to make.  Manson may be on to something though now that he is free to get even crazier with his music. With many people depressed and enraged about America's many problems, Manson can help them release that anger with some new 100% Manson grade tunes. Then again we wouldn't recommend listening to Manson while in the above states of mind
