Who will it be? Our take on the two American Idol Finalists And Who we want to win
As American Idol comes to a close for it's 9th season, many questions hover. One question that has been hovering for some time now is when will she show go off the air? Some will argue that it has become a hitless machine since Keri Underwood suggesting it go out while it still has some fire. The show will start auditions for its 10th season this summer with a new judge replacing Simon Cowell who has made the smart choice to move on. But apart from those questions there is one on the minds of many of the show's viewers. Who will take the crown this season. We will say that we've been off and on with the show, but something this season caught on. The show is now down to the wire with the two finalist revealed last night. It's Christal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze. Casey James was voted off but we're not worried about him at all. We will all hear form him soon enough. In fact he may very well be this season's run away star because it seems like the losers are always the ones taking the shine. Here is our take on the two finalist and who we want to take the cake.
LEE DEWYZE: We like Lee, but we don't love Lee. We've seen and heard him before. His sound is typical alternative rock with a little raspyness and his image isn't unique. Image is a huge part of selling records and attracting fans. Lee would just be injected into the sea of redundancy. With that said, he does have a shot because America usually likes to stick with what it knows. Lee would appeal to young consumers. We were never blown away by any of his performances during this season at all. But America voted, and he now has a shot at the title.
CHRYSTAL BOWERSOX: Now here is something old but new and we would say overdue. Chrystal isn't your typical American idol contestant. She doesn't have anything even remotely close to that cliche bubble-gummy image or sound. She is an old soul with emotions wrapped into her music. We can't think of one performance that didn't pull us in. The music industry needs someone like Crystal Bowersox right now. Like Simon says there is nothing that needs to be changed. Her image is perfect right down to her teeth. The guitar the hair and the voice is the breath of fresh air the industry has been looking for. Chrystal's sound will attract an older demographic and that is OK because they're the ones with the money to spend. We've said it before and will say it again. Our money is on Chrystal.
