Raygun Magazine Was The Shit!
Perhaps one of the best music publications, Raygun magazine was raw and in your face. With it's bold creative covers and headlines lead by creative director and founder David Carson, Raygun turned the magazine industry upside down with it's unique cover designs and lack of norm. RayGun was known for its choices of subject matter. The cutting-edge advertising, musical artists and pop culture icons spotlighted were typically ahead of the curve, putting such artists as Radiohead, Bjork, Beck, Flaming Lips, PJ Harvey and Eminem on its cover long before its better-known competitors. They don't make music publications like this anymore all the magazines look the same these days. All of them seem to follow the same blueprint, nothing stands out except maybe the individual on the cover, sometimes. Here at Stun we're paying our respects to the dead, Raygun magazine, because no one else did it like you did.
