Here in NYC there are endless businesses on wheels selling everything from hot food to sweet deserts and beverages and treats like coffee, smoothies and ice cream. But the one thing NYC is missing, but probably will never get, is a booze truck for a slew of reasons we won't bother to get into. We aren't as lucky as the people in Portland Oregon. Thanks to Suzanne Moodhe and Dylan Goldsmith of Captured By Porches, the beer is flowing at it's rolling.
There are three beer buses, spread across Portland’s warren of eclectic neighborhoods, and they serve between four and eight craft ales, allowing patrons to fill home-brought Mason jars and other assorted containers for $5. Captured By Porches’ flagship beer, the Invasive Species IPA, uses local hops and smoothly toes the line between sweet and pleasantly bitter, making for a pint that’s crisp, forward and floral. This summer’s seasonal, the Two Cats Kölsch, is a straw-colored German-style ale/lager hybrid with notes of mellow citrus and banana.Source: T Magazine
