STUNNED BY DRE
For years Beyonce's albums have generated much excitement and demand, while her former fellow group mate Kelly Rowland's solo efforts fall flat. Now it looks like the tables are turning and Beyonce's team is said to be scrambling. While Kelly Rowland now sits atop the charts with her smash 'Motivation'. Beyonce is left wondering what the hell is going on with her music and her fans. We smelled it coming a long time ago with very mediocre and noisy 'Run the world' and the redundant sound of 'Lets Move'. Beyonce needs to go back to the drawing board and reinvent herself. That is how artists like Madonna and Janet Jackson among many other female artists before Beyonce managed to survive. One of the two following things happened to Beyonce or both. Nitsuh Abebe over at New York mag thinks Beyonce has settled into her roll as wife. Or Kelly Rowland is slowly stealing her thunder which many will say is long overdue. Will team Beyonce now try to embrace Kelly Rowland as a way to keep Beyonce in the fold or will they rush back to the starting line for a do over? There is even talk of a Destiny's Child reunion on the strength of Kelly Rowland's new success. But a reunion at this point would be a grave mistake for both artists. Beyonce needs to bring in new lesser known producers to help mold a new sound or improve on her current sound. She needs to go underground and hunker down in the studio and not come up for air until she has something fresh to give her bosses at Sony Music. Whether team Beyonce knows all this, is another story.
