Justin Timberlake, The Silent Mogul

STUNNED BY DRE
Justin Timberlake has mastered the art of breaking away from the whole boy band image. You rarely if ever hear people refer to him as Justin Timberlake formerly of Nsync. Justin has managed to crush that with a successful solo music career, a buzzing film career and business ventures. There is an old saying that says, "The Loudest Guy in The Room is The Weakest Guy in The Room". Justin Timberlake is moves in silence. Since the disbanding of Nsync, Justin has gone on to build businesses many of which some people aren't aware of and it isn't because they aren't successful, its because Justin is confident in his investments and tends to shun money talk. He is easily worth north of $100 million thanks to his William Rast clothing company, film music and television portfolios. He has co-owned or provided celebrity endorsement for three restaurants in the United States: "Chi" opened in West Hollywood, California in 2003,  and "Destino" and "Southern Hospitality" in New York opened in 2006 and 2007, respectively.

He also has his own brand of tequila called 901, the name comes in part from the area code of his hometown of Memphis. In 2005, he launched the William Rast clothing line with childhood friend Juan "Trace" Ayala. The 2007 line contained cord jackets, cashmere sweaters, jeans and polo shirts. Today the brand has expanded into women's wear eye wear and outerwear and has joined forces with target to expand the brand's distribution. Justin is in the same business as many of his fellow recording stars, but he rarely if ever plugs his businesses because he wants people to patronize them not because his name is attached to it, but because they genuinely love the products. Coming off successful rolls in movies like "The Social Network" Justin has been back in the lab with top level producers putting together his next CD which is much anticipated. Justin and his production team The Y's, along with Mike Elizondo, produced and co-wrote the song "Don't Let Me Down" for Leona Lewis's second studio album, Echo. Timberlake also co-wrote and performed on "Carry Out", the third single from Timbaland's album Shock Value II.  He continues to focus on building his empire without making himself part of the brand which for Justin seems to work out well. After all, fans tend to get bored really quick and tire of one of their favorite stars constantly trying to sell them something.
