Hollywood film producer Brett Ratner has resigned from his gig as producer of the Oscars thanks to his use of the most hated gay slur in of all places, Hollywood which is rumored to be run by the so called "Gay Mafia". Now Eddie Murphy who was set to host this year's show, withdrew as host because apparently he can't see himself working with anyone else. The people who run the Oscars may not admit it, but one of their highest rated shows just got murdered.
[NYDN]Eddie Murphy has bailed out of hosting the Academy Awards a day after his producing pal Brett Ratner was shamed into leaving the show.Murphy has withdrawn as the host, according to a statement released by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
“I appreciate how Eddie feels about losing his creative partner, Brett Ratner, and we all wish him well,” Academy President Tom Sherak said in a statement.
