Russell Simmons, the man who famously fooled the hip hop world by putting out a fake press release about his return to the top of Def Jam records, fell victim to a big hoax himself yesterday when a fake People magazine cover with actor Taylor Lautner hit the web with the headline "Out and Proud". Simmons immediately took to twitter with his support for the young actor coming out saying "Proud of Taylor Lautner for his bravery and his courage." However after finding out that it was a big hoax, Simmons who was clearly embarrassed for falling head first into the whole thing took a defensive position and scolded the culprits behind the fake cover for basically making him look like an ass saying: "Disappointed that people would joke about someone coming out about their sexuality. Let Taylor Lautner be whoever he wants to be..." Come on Russell, you keep falling even deeper into the whole thing. You have to be able to take what you dish out! [E!]
