The art world loves Absolut Vodka and Absolut Vodka loves them back. For years the vodka company has embraced and collaborated with the creative community on their bottle and ad designs. Over the years the bottles have become collectors items. Some of the designs includes work from artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, Sylvie Fleury, David Shrigley and Linn Fernström. Now there is a new bottle design on the way to add to the collection, this one from artist Jamie Hewlett dubbed "Absolut London".
Set against an easily recognizable London skyline, the bottle introduces key characters from the past that in each their way have influenced and shaped our glorious city’s present fashion scene. The seven characters span from Dickensian and 18th Century Dandy, through to ur-British Pinstripe gent, a 60’s dollybird, SKA, Punk and 80’s Casual, all executed in Hewlett’s signature style.source: VoltCafe
