Antonio Banderas is set to play Picasso in a new docudrama titled "33 Dias" (33 days).
The film follows Picasso during the 33 days it took him to paint the masterpiece "Guernica," which captured the destruction of the town during the Spanish Civil War. "[Picasso] is a character that has pursued me for a long time and I always rejected. He deserves a lot of respect because I am from Malaga, and I was born four blocks from where he was born," Banderas told Spanish newspaper El Pais.source: HParts
