A Quick #Guide to #Selfie #Etiquette

We currently live in the era of selfies. We love to snap quick photos of ourselves and share them with our friends because there is no way they're tired of looking at us right? That's all cool. But some of us lack serious "Selfie Etiquette". What is this you ask? Well its taking the time to make sure your selfie is presentable and doesn't reveal any embarrassing things about you. Like for example if you're a slob and you're standing in the middle of your pigsty of a bedroom. Or you just did number two and didn't make sure the toilet flush was a successful one. All these things must be taken into account before you snap your masterpiece because believe it or not, its not just your cute outfit or guys your new kicks that are being combed over slowly. Everything in your photo is being scrutinized like the NSA combing through phone and Internet data. So due to these facts, Stun, being our usual generous selves, have put together a quick checklist of some dos and don'ts before you snap and share your millionth selfie with the same facial expression.

-Do not look at your smart phone as you're taking the selfie. Only look at it to position the lens, instead look in the mirror and snap. Looking at the phone screen while you're actually taking the selfie just says you're even more into yourself than your selfie already suggests.

-If you're selfie-ing in front of a mirror which the bulk of you do. Please ensure the mirror is clean. Greasy finger prints and toothpaste stains will immediately kill your effort and tell people you're house if untidy.

-If you get the sudden urge to snap a selfie, don't be oblivious to your surroundings. Make sure there is nothing around you that may get caught in your selfie that you otherwise wouldn't want anyone to see. Make your bed, pick up your dirty clothes. Get rid of the plate with dinner scraps sitting on your bed side table since the night before. Take down your NKOTB poster etc.

-Cute and funny faces, puckered lips and sticking out tongues? That shit is for kids 17 and under. Its not cute beyond that. No one wants to see a grown woman or man in a selfie trying to look cute making the same faces as their kids or younger sisters and brothers. Keep it simple, keep it grown and keep it sexy.

- Only post the selfie that came out the best. Don't post all of them because at the end of the day, you're the only one really enjoying looking at yourself. Don't get unfollowed for being a self absorbed dick.

-Don't ever caption a selfie "Feeling Bored" because if taking a selfie is how you deal with boredom, then my friend, in the words of Mrs. Tamar Braxton-Herbert, you need to "get your life"

-Finally public selfies are boring. If you really want your selfie to be a hit. Take a selfie for that special someone in your life. Bare it all and send in a text saying "Come and get it". The reaction to such a private selfie far outweighs the response to one you posted on Instagram or facebook.
