Is that Still On?: Five TV Shows We Wish Would Die

Ever feel like some shows on TV ran past their prime but for some reason they are still on every week? Ever asked the age old question "Is that still on?" Yeah us too. Some writers/producers know when its time to phase out a show and others just drag the story line on and on with no end in site. "Breaking Bad" went out at the right time, leaving you wanting more. "24" though it is back for 12 episodes, went out just at the right time even though it almost missed the window. Other shows like the recently canceled "Revolution" just lose their way taking viewers on an endless ride with no goal in site which lead to its demise. But there are still shows that make their way into our living rooms every week that should've been gone about 2 or 3 seasons ago. Here are five of them that we wish would just die.

1. American Idol: Who still watches this? The show hasn't produced a major superstar since Kerry Underwood but it is still leading on music hopefuls looking to be the next big thing. The show recently closed out its 13th season and almost no one watched. We think its time for this show to be put to rest because it has overstayed its welcome by about 4 or 5seasons.

2. 24 Live Another Day: The original series may have just made the exit when it did a few years back but someone at Fox thought it was a good idea to put the breathy Jack Bauer back  on our screens hunting for yet another terrorist trying to kill people. Been there done that. 24 should've been left where it was, in the past.

3. Law and Order SVU: The recent season left us wanting less of SVU. Producers changed things up with the cast and gave Olivia a promotion. But they also gave us too much of Olivia. It felt like the whole season was about her getting abducted and abused by a stalker who seemed to always beat serious charges which allowed him to continue his obsession with Olivia. We are thinking SVU should go out while it is still liked by some. Many of its loyal viewers were not happy with season 15. Here's to not making it to season 20.

4. The Bachelor/Bachelorette: OK so this is one of those show where we ask "Is that still on?". We never got into this show past the first few seasons. The whole concept just lost its pull. In a recent poll, 78% of viewers say that the show is past its prime and should be canceled. We agree.

5. Keeping Up With The Kardashians: The family America loves to hate will be back for another season. Especially with the newly hitched Kim Kardashian-West. There is a new story there to be told but America loves to not want anymore while wanting more. If Kim Didn't  go through a divorce while carrying the baby of Rapper Kanye West and then get hitched, the show would be out of fuel. Khloe's bizarre marriage to NBA player Lamar Odom also helped the show along. However, its time to go out on top. We understand the salary from E! is great but leave America hating you while wanting more. That would be something.
