The word 'Fan' comes from the word 'Fanatic' but the latter sounds much more extreme doesn't it? We are all fans of someone or something for one reason or another. I like to call myself and other people like me, simply 'Fans'. But then there are those we can't use
the short version to describe because they are beyond 'Fan' they are even beyond 'Fanatic'. They more fall under 'Obsessed'. Take for example Herbert Chavez. He is so obsessed with Superman, that he wanted to look like the fictional character. So Mr. Chavez did what any other Obsessed person would do and got his face surgically altered to look like his idol. Creepy? You think?
