UPDATE: White House shooting suspect captured in Pennsylvania. Now What?
Its nothing new when you hear news about some idiot trying to penetrate the White House grounds. For years people have crashed planes, fired shots and even scaled fences to gain access to the most famous house on the planet. President Obama has been out of the country traveling on world business. However that didn't stop someone from firing shots at the White House. Thankfully the bullets were stopped by ballistic bullet proof windows. The secret service of course is on the hunt for the culprit and they may even have a suspect (pictured). Who is 21 yr old Oscar Ramiro Ortega and why did he (if he did) fire rounds at the White House?
U.S. Park Police say they believe Ortega fired shots from an AK-47 semiautomatic rifle while in a vehicle on 16th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. He allegedly abandoned the car and the weapon in the 2300 block of Constitution Avenue and fled on foot. The shots were reported between the Ellipse and the Washington Monument grounds, about a half-mile south of the White House.[WP]
