Vimeo user Nick Kegeyan compiled the video below using 100 music videos to make a moving collage of all different scenes that you may or may not recognize. Some of the scenes are from your favorite music videos can you guess? Nick explains how he did it.
The music videos I used were all downloaded (using SampleChest) from YouTube and made after 2005. The audio comes from importing the .mov files directly into Audacity and layering them in a 100 tracks. All the songs are reversed. The order and length of the tracks was decided by a random number generator (except for the last 2-3 minutes). The order of clips and effects were also decided with a random number generator. I stuck with what the generator gave me unless I really didn't like how it looked.
Each clip that I used was pulled from parts where you don't get a music video feel. No rappers, rapping, no singers, singing and no instruments, instrumenting.
