Christian Louboutin's History Presented at Design Museum London

BY ART + TIMES:
Everything you love has a history that will be told one day. In this case for the beautiful fashionable women of the world, your favorite shoe designer, you know the shoes with the red bottoms? The story behind it all is being told at Design Museum London. Check out the video clip on the other side.
The first UK-based Christian Louboutin retrospective celebrates the great Parisian shoe designer at the Design Museum in London. Spanning two decades, the exhibition reveals Louboutin’s influence on shoe design–particularly the high heel. Louboutin, famed for his red-soled stilettos, has evoked burlesque icon Dita Von Teese for a stunning 3-D holographic centerpiece commemorating his earliest design inspiration–the showgirl. While his work was largely women-centric, the French designer also designed for men. This exhibition explores his design process and expounds on the production journey that has dressed many a foot. It runs for ten weeks from May 1 to July 9, 2012.
