Birthday Girl, Naomi, and Her Incomparable #Fashion Highlights

Happy 43rd birthday to the British bombshell, Naomi Campbell! From her jumpstart into the industry at the young age of 15 until now, her modeling career alone has noted her as one of the top models in the 1980-90s. "The queen of the catwalk," they call her. Her extreme impact on the fashion industry continues to set boundaries for supermodels all around the globe. Now at 43, she is a singer, dancer, a published author, actress, businesswoman and producer of the 2012 Oxygen reality television series, The Face. This woman is legendary. Today, we remember Naomi's most amazing fashion highlights: the fierce and the funny.

Naomi Campbell was the first black woman to cover French Vogue (August 1988).

Campbell was also the first black woman to cover Time magazine in 1991.

Her epic fall in 1993 during the Vienne Westwood show certainly was not because of her famous "Naomi Campbell walk" (as Beyonce sang in Get Me Bodied)... the platforms were exactly one foot tall! The model laughed and the audience clapped. It never affected her career.

Accompanied by the beautiful model, Kate Moss, Campbell sported an over-the-knee sock and a chunky heel at the 1993 Designer of the Year Awards. She began to set trends for hundreds of fashionistas today (hence the Jeffrey Campbell heel and high sock trend in 2012) including those in Hollywood.

Known for her sexy and strong legs, Victoria's Secret couldn't deny her fierceness. She walked the runway in the 2002 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Naomi was the freshest face for Yves Saint Laurent's F/W 08-09 campaign.

Naomi poses nude with designer, Stefano Pilati, for the August 2008 issue of i-D magazine. Hands down, one of her best magazine covers yet.

The supermodel attended the 2011 Met Ball wearing a never-before-seen Alexander McQueen gown.
