At least that is how it will be received by some as Whitney Houston's mother Cissy releases a gospel album via iTunes. But the reality is, she's been working on the album for about a year.
Cissy Houston's "Walk on By Faith" was released by Harlem Records on iTunes this week and includes songs such as "Living Shall Not Be In Vain."

Did Hip Hop Help Bring Down Former Egyptian Dictator Hosni Mubarak?

STUNNED BY DRE
As Egypt still struggles for democracy after the fall and ouster of former strong man Hosni Mubarak, hip-hop trio Arabian Knightz tells how their music helped fuel the revolution and became the soundtrack for a new beginning.
Countless songs dedicated to the uprising rocketed around the internet. Two of these songs, "Rebel" and "Not Your Prisoner" from hip-hop trio Arabian Knightz, quickly became anthems of the revolution. Arabian Knightz released their new album Uknighted States of Arabia on January 25 ― the one-year anniversary of the protests that sparked the revolution.

Rihanna's 'Talk That Talk' An Instant Smash

STUNNED BY KERWIN
Rihanna is no doubt a mega superstar and with her latest offering titled 'Talk That Talk', she is shooting even further. Since it's release, 'Talk That Talk' has been the the talk among music critics and and they have nothing but great things to say. With the lead off single "Found Love" tearing up the dance charts, and a sexy video to back it up, the new CD got off to a strong start and is showing no signs of slowing down.

MTV News' James Montgomery already declared Talk That Talk "not only the best effort of her career, but arguably the best pop album of 2011," an assessment echoed by the New York Times, People, Rolling Stone and SPIN.

"The best songs on this lively and often great album sound synth-perfect for that time [the early 1990s]. 'We Found Love' almost criminally recalls the swinging Crystal Waters singles, with triumphant percussion somewhere between church and seventh-inning stretch," the Times writes. " 'Where Have You Been' is even better, with hard, chilly synths, snares from the poppier side of house music, and Rihanna moving in and out of a curled Siouxsie Sioux tone."

Listen: Coldplay Covers Rihanna

STUNNED BY DRE
We love it when big name artist colaborate and make great music together. We even love it more when the collaboration is by two artists we would've probably never thought about pairing.
Coldplay teamed up with Rihanna for "Princess of China," a track on the band's new album, Mylo Xyloto, so it's not exactly a surprise that they would cover her new single "We Found Love" when asked to perform another artist's tune on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge show. It may surprise that their rendition is actually pretty good. Whereas Rihanna's version is a thumping rave anthem, Chris Martin and company transform it into a lovely piano ballad nearly indistinguishable from many of their own songs.
