First they wanted Eddie Murphy to host their program in 2012 before he pulled out. Now the Academy has brought on Rapper/Producer and Fashionisto Pharrell Williams to oversee all the music that you will hear that night, assuming you're into snooze-fests. The Academy has really been thinking outside the box in an effort to attract people who can stay up past the first hour (young people). Not sure how this will play out for them, but its a nice addition to Pharrell Williams' resume.
